Muneaki Watanabe is a Senior Scientist at ABI, where he leads the effort in protein purification and characterization. Prior to ABI, Dr. Watanabe worked at Iowa State University as a structural biology research scientist. Since joining ABI in 2023, he has been working on identifying the sweet protein Brazzein in transgenic maize. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Iowa State University.
